FLORENCE MYTUM

Florence completed an MA from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2018 and built her career as an installation artist before launching Florence Mytum Ceramics in 2020. She uses her background as a sculptor to create bold, colourful and tactile ceramics. 

Florence’s ceramics celebrate colour, texture and form which she explores through a focus on materiality. Each piece is individually handmade from stoneware clay and decorated with colourful slips and glazes, bridging the gap between decorative, sculptural and functional ceramics. By employing tactile forms and saturated colour, her pieces aim to ignite the senses and bring joy to the viewer. Florence Mytum Ceramics are for those daring to defy a homogenised interior full of mass-produced products, and invest in quirky, distinctive and handcrafted pieces.
